Motorbike Racing Mechanic Course

The Motorbike Racing Mechanic course covers both the technical aspects, as well as the methods and practical features of the job of a motorbike racing mechanic. Luigi Tondo addresses issues related to the disassembly and reassembly of the front fork and shock absorber, setups, analysis of rider issues, chassis setup management in relation to the changes made to the engine and management of the engine electronics, as well as tyres and the final transmission gears.

This training course also covers wiring, ECU management, mapping and engine strategies, problems and their resolution, as well as telemetry. With the support of Ambrogio Arzuffi, MTS instructor and engine mechanic, we’ll talk about the engine: disassembly and reassembly of the engine and each of its individual elements, with insights into its preparation, analysis and solutions for related problems.

The technical subjects are complemented by another no less important one: an in-depth study of the mechanic’s psychological and emotional control of the relationship with the driver.

At the end of the teaching part of the course, students can take part in ‘On-the-job Training’ with nationally and internationally recognised teams to immediately put into practice the skills acquired: on average, 80% of our students start working in the Motorsport world after the course.
The Course takes place at the Monza Racetrack and at the MTS training centre in Lesmo..

During the course, there is also a practical session on the track, where students will put into practice what they have learnt throughout their studies at the Motorsport Technical School.
