160 hours professional training for racing bike mechanics.


The course is intended for racing bikes enthusiasts and will takes place over a number of weekends from November to March.

At the end of the course the five best students will be offered on-the-job training by leading national and international racing teams.

The lessons focus on both the technical aspects and working procedures of a racing mechanic.

  • Under the guidance of Luigi Tondo , the course will cover topics such as the assembly and disassembly of the front fork and damper, the race set-up, troubleshooting riders’ issues, setting up the chassis in accordance with engine and ECU modifications, pneumatics and final drive.
  • The electronics section will cover looms and connectors, ECU management, mapping and engine strategies (antiskid, antiwheelie, engine brake, etc.) as well as telemetry troubleshooting.
  • With the help of MTS tutor and Yamaha team mechanic Ambrogio Arzuffi, the course will cover in depth the disassembly and assembly of the entire engine, gearbox, clutch and combustion unit.

The whole course will be supervised by Marco Ventura, chief mechanic for Ducati’s Moto GP team.

Another topic will be mechanic/driver relationship from a psychological point of view.

Lessons will also see:

  • Participation of authoritative motorsport personalities
  • Visits to the most representative companies in the industry.

In order to guarantee the maximum level of training, lessons will take place in the classroom, workshop and circuit, with top-end professional equipment and materials.

For the technical part of each section, different racing bikes from Ducati Corse, Yamaha Motor Racing and other teams will be used.

In order to access the course, all candidates must take an admission test scheduled for October, comprising:

  • a written test with both open-ended and multiple-choicequestions
  • an practical test
  • an interview with the tutors
