On Monday 22nd October, the new first level master’s degree in Race Engineering begins, born from the partnership between the University of Pavia, the Automotive Safety Center, the Motorsport Technical School and SkyDrive.
The 1500-hour training course is a real “race engineering experience” with lectures given by academic professors and professional track engineers, practical and experimental sessions with the help of professional simulators and with the almost unique added value of eleven days of training at the Automotive Safety Center. Students will also have the opportunity to work directly on the racing car and become familiar with the teamwork; the Master, coordinated by prof. Carlo Rottenbacher will also provide technical visits to partner companies, as well as in-depth seminars on topics of particular relevance.
An integral part of the Master will be the internship period that the students will have the opportunity to perform at the leading companies in the motorsport sector, such as McLaren.
At the end of the program the students will obtain the first level master’s diploma in Race Engineering from the University of Pavia.
On board the Master, also partners of excellence in the field of motorsport such as Brembo, Pirelli Motorsport and Xtrac.
Motorsport Technical School will bring its know-how thanks to the involvement of part of the professional team that holds lessons at the school: engineers, technicians and mechanics with many years of experience in the various motor racing competitions, including the F1.
Three excellences, University of Pavia, Automotive Safety Center, MTS and SkyDrive united by the competence and the goal of training professionals in the motorsport sector.
